The Central New York Habitat Campus, Inc.

is a 501(c) 3 non for profit organization. Our mission is to provide an outdoor workshop for scientific  and educational studies. Founded in 2020 our main campus is over 400 acres and growing! Located in the Town of Pompey, Onondaga County, New York State. Our property is unique as we manage the landscape to provide different types of habitats and wildlife for study and observation. We can generally provide secure areas from human intrusion for sensitive research, observation and filed work.

Currently we have all stages of Northern Hardwood forests and tree plantations of several types. Brush land type habitat, grasslands, wetlands, vernal pools, perennial ponds and agricultural ground.

Anyone or group may contact us with an inquiry. The classroom is open all year at no charge. It is mandatory that visitors are required to register first. Availability is generally first come; our group will weigh the request individually and try to accommodate everyone. 

Unauthorized entry is not tolerated , the property is legally posted and patrolled.

We cater to everyone, Individuals, groups, school field trips and more. If you are working on your doctorate, naturalist, photographer or need a place to conduct secure field work and research our campus might be for you.

The CNYHC property is protected with a conservation easement. The workshop is run 100% by volunteers and donations.
